Those are 1 1/2" lift shackles. The factory shackles are tiny. I'd invest in a High-Steer set up. That truck will steer like a brand new rack and pinion vehicle. High-Steer set ups start at $300 and you'll need a steering box from an IFS truck (junkyard, no biggie) well worth it.

Nothing wrong with the drop drag link. Just service it.
Those shock towers are factory all the way. You may nee to put a taller bump stop on to keep the shock from compressing to much. Drop isn't an issue that I see. (That is with the OME springs installed) Shackles will give some better lift and added droop!
Try it, you'll like it. Then later, if you decide, Hy-Steer is way better and worth the time and $$ :D

My old 85 with 3" Downey springs, well seasoned and Ford shock towers, pre hysteer:D

I'm not a big fan if push-pull steering, but do prefer the "ball flip" to bent links, it also helps with u-bolt clearance.

Anticipation

Thanks everyone for all the input. I'm continually amazed by how much I can learn by reading up on MUD.

Hopefully I'll see the OME springs before the end of the week. I think I've gathered that everything else will be alright for now, even the dropped drag link. Once I have everything back together, I'll be able to look a little more closely and make sure that crossover steering will clear. If so, it's on the short list. $400 for billet steering arms, beefy rods, pitman arm and a complete tie rod end kit? I'm on it. Compared to FJ40 parts, this stuff is cheeeeaaap.

Even though the original thread title is a little misleading, I'll keep this updated with photos.

I ordered OME springs all around today. The OME springs are 2" lift from what I understand.

From what I understand it varies on: vehicle weight, (P4WOR noticed an increase [rake/ stinkbug] with their 4Runner top off) and you can add and subtract leaves for a custom spring pac.

Jeez, looks like you're gonna be running out of stuff (v = droop, ^ = stuff) real soon...

4. Does this look right? Jagged hole in the frame makes me curious.

Why, it looks good to me? Looks like the spring will go flat before the shackle hits the mount. 1, most aftermarket springs shouldn't be used negative arch, ie should be bump stopped at flat. 2, even if pushed negative, the springs become shorter, so zero issue.

This is one I'm helping with the build, shackle angle looks similar at rest and doesn't hit.
