Just clicking over 230k miles, finally got around to changing my plugs. These have been in the truck since I bought the rig at 199k miles. Previous owner, who was also the original owner, had no knowledge of the last time they were charged, but did have the truck maintained semi-regularly at the dealer. Long story short, I’m thinking these plugs had between 50k-70k miles, perhaps more.
I was dreading the number 6 plug, expecting to see some signs of a deteriorating head gasket as the truck is still rocking the original (‘97).
Overall, really surprised at how even the coloring/wear is from cylinder 1 through 6. (Last pic is a closeup of 5 and 6, 6 on the left)
