Spark Plug Reach (1 Viewer)

My understanding is that the older F enigines took a plug with a shallower reach. I ordered a set of BPR5EY for my 12/73 F155 motor and went to do a plug change. The reach on these plugs is more than the champion RJ12YC I took out. Did the previous owner have the wrong plugs installed? Are the NGKs I referenced a suitable plug for a 1.5f motor?

When getting the new plugs, buy the BPR5EY, vs the BPR5ES. The Y is easier to fire.

Compression numbers are fine, engine is burning oil past guides & seals.

Thanks. That's one of the quotes that made me order the 5EYs. Guess the PO had the wrong plugs in.

Pardion was kind enough to say he'd send me the jet access plug.
