spare wire? (1 Viewer)

'71 cruiser, original wiring screwed up by some PO.....I'm trying to get my hazards to work. Just where the harness enters the cab on the passenger side three wires emerge from the loom. The GR and GL go to a jack for the hazard flasher (?), but there's a RL with a female bullet connector that just hangs there.

Any ideas about it's use? I've got several FSM, Haynes and a few other 'manuals', but none show a RL wire that would be anywhere in that area.....

It goes to the dash mounted courtesy light.
First pic shows where is starts.
Second pic is where it ends.
Third pic shows the light itself.

You must have a soft top model 71 like mine!

Well, I DO have a soft top, a Bikini top and even a hard top. But none are ever on the rig. I haven't ever seen a "soft top dash courtesy light". Where does it fit?
