Spare tire fits, but no room to crank.

I was told there is a mod to fix this. I have 285/65-18"s. The spare will clearly fit but the crank bar gets in the way when the tire gets towards the top so I can't crank it up all of the way to lock into place. I've checked all over but don't see anyone else running into this. Thoughts please?

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but there's a spare tire mod in the FAQ, basically just lifts the whole assembly for more clearance.

May be a silly question but I’ve seen lots of people crank through the hitch. You are putting your rod in the little access door right?

You can also push down and tilt the tire back as you crank

Thanks! I've had more than 6 sets of duratracs on 4 different trucks and I wouldn't buy anything but these. They're the best all around tire for me. And if you're talking about Whitesbog, then yes. I think they have a bunch of different events there over the year.
