My system.... 2nd key in RFID pouch.. inside. Then had a 3rd mechanical key made which is in a waterproof magnetic box..... In undisclosed location of course..
Had to do something! Needed some kind of option if the key fob gets lost out in the boonies..

Your card/fob to enter your parking garage, elevator, gated community all use RFID. It can be inbeded or a sticker. That sticker in the old CD jewel box at Tower Records was RFID theft device.
The blocker the OP was discussing acts like a Faraday cage blocking the car or someone else from recognizing the fob inside the vehicle.
The physical key cannot start the truck but it does get you in.
