2ND EDIT: No longer available. Going to part it out.
EDIT: SEE POST #8 for new information and price - found out the head gasket is leaking.
To make room for the new BJ60 project one of the Piggies has to go. This is the one I rescued earlier this year. It was driven regularly up until last year. Local offering first. Details:
1972 FJ55
Running 2F motor - head gasket leaking, compression: 1-135, 2-35, 3-99, 4-15, 5-70, 6-134
Drivetrain stock '72 except 3spd. converted to floor shift.
Needs brake work- original drums.
Rusted in the typical pig places (lower rear of front fenders, rockers). Interior floor is pretty good, in fact it still had the orignal carpet and fiber padding. Some rust over in the body mount on Driver's side. Headliner is in tact. Rear gate and lower sill are good. Has a few body and door dents. Interesting custom roof rack and hood scoop installed by PO.

It would make a great trail rig but probably not something you're going to restore back to original or use as a DD.

Absolutely. It's easy to ID when the first two digits of the engine vin are 2F. It looks like the engine has been gone through at some point. The head and block are painted a chevy orange color. I've driven it too so definitely a 3 speed. I have a SM420 that was I entertaining putting in it which would make a good combo with the lower geared 3 speed TC for a great crawl ratio.

Damn you Norm!!!

I just promised myself I would stop aquiring new projects and get the bills paid down for a few years. (I've always wanted a piggy)

Someone buy this quick so I don't!

Come on Alvin, I assure you that no aftermarket Chinese products have been put on it. Although the PO said it had been down to Rocky Point a few times. And best of all you'd be supporting me and my next project.

New development

Even though the engine was running pretty good, I ran a compression check for a potential buyer. The 2F needs a new head gasket. Compression is as follows: 1-135, 2-35, 3-99, 4-15, 5-70, 6-134 ; water in the oil.
Not sure when this happened as it ran fine earlier this summer.
Too many irons in the fire right now and I don't have time to fix it so I'll sell as is or part out if I don't get any takers in the next week.

New price $500 OBO.

Dammit, why did I come back to check out this thread again......

Sad Piggy

As much as I hate to do it, looks like I'm going to end up parting this one out. I need the space very soon and there are too many variables for someone to take it over as is. On the plus side, I'll re-work the 2f and probably get some decent money back in parts and have some spares for my other Pig. :pig::skull:

My buddy still needs a flat hood the wiper valance and adriver front door. Also needs a good rear window motor. LMK

BMan I gotta ya covered on the hood and possibly the motor regardless. I'll PM you some pix. No good on the driver's door. The valance would be available if I part it. I have guy in Iowa that might buy it as is though.
