Only 5 ? amateurs HaHa I was of the same opinion on the 80 Oem lights until I installed this set of quads for a customer. He bought a OEM kit off ebay then ordered the JTX bulbs. I even called my customer when I opened the JTX bulbs and saw them , asking if he was sure he wanted me to install them .I'm not a big fan of aftermarket bulbs with all the crazy stuff in them After seeing these installed they really grew on me . I really like the JTX bulbs they may be a good choice for your 62 and 1/4 of the price of the holleys. I think set of 4 is $475ish with shipping and tariffs from JTX......

I was sad when I opened the boxes from JTX and saw the quality of the light kits. The cheaply chromed Plastic head light rings and bezels really did it in for me . Not to mention the different screw grommets and how poorly they fit . That's prob how they busted the patent . Don't get me wrong a DIYer who cares more about price than quality will love them. As a custom restoration shop I can't sell them. I just don't see the chromed plastic lasting more the a few years.... You can still buy all the stuff for the quads through Toyota it's just a pain in the ass and requires buying parts from 3 different country's 1 of which won't ship to the USA. To be honest it is almost too much of a hassle to be profitable. I'Il prob keep a set or 2 in stock for our builds and for that guy who wants quaility over price.

Yep........... I would fully agree on that . After installing one of the JTX kits They fit just like cheap china knock offs. After replacing all the screw grommets and screws with OEM. Putting the correct sockets on the corner lights and trimming the housings of the corner lights they kind of fit hahaha. I put a set on my shop rig over the weekend, I made them fit but what a pain in the ass. As I said they are ok if your more about price than quality and proper fit. Right now we are 1 piece away from having compete OEM kits. I was shocked the OEM isn't that much more than what they wanted for the knock offs.

It’s very similar for sure but the only thing available since Toyota stopped making/selling some of the parts.

I had a similar experience as you in which all my orders from Amayama, Yoshi, Impex etc were all cancelled due to no availability or they had crazy shipping. I had two orders that were over $500 in shipping alone for parts that were less than $200.

I think the only difference is their LED quad lights, low and high wiring harnesses, Halo and blinker harnesses, an OEM light covers. Which for anyone reading this with quads is 08814-60010C

Here’s a quick comparison of the JTX harness vs @jcardona1.

The JTX looks ok but it’s a lot of cable management and you need a harness for high and low. They also use a relay board which is ok until they fail and you can’t get a replacement.

@jcardona1 uses I think Ceramic plugs and a normal relay you can usually get off Amazon or a parts store with ease making repair easy. It’s smaller and easier to manage compared to the JTX. I appreciate that it’s wrapped in what could be Tessa tape.

Regardless of what quad solution people buy, I would recommend JCardona’s harness based on initial impressions and function…assuming it doesn’t burn my cruiser down in 6 months 🤣

I want to close this thread out of a Positive note. And give a GREAT vendor a shout out . (We don't see enough of that on here). After Contacting Steve at JTX over the issues I found with the Quad lights . He was quick to get with me and resolve them not just to make me happy . But to make his product the best it can be (For non OEM) . We went over my detailed pictures and notes on install and what wasn't quite right with fit and product. . I shared what I did to resolve them and what I couldn't resolve with Steve . Being in Aus he doesn't have access to USA models as I do which was part of the problem. We chatted about solutions for what couldn't be solved and I pointed him to a few of my part sources that would correct them.

It was nice to work with a vendor who says "what ever it takes to make it right " when something isn't. It;s sad these days some vendors make it as easy as getting a pork chop away from a rabid pit bull when it comes to warranty issues .

This is purely opinion.... I can see how a lot of this manifested. I used to import goods all the time many years ago in a different business. An offshore company would send you sample products . Then off that you would place an order for resale . More times than not the quality control of that order is non existent and the product is not even close to what you saw in the sample. I saw a lot of the same things here and could explain why a few people got kits without the same issues..

Closing out .. I would not be afraid to order from JTX... I am sure He will correct everything we found. Even know I have found everything OEM and will be putting those kits together We still plan to carry the JTX Bulbs and a few of his corrected kits for those not liking the OEM price.

Temu and JTX ... Last week I had a person bring in a kit he bought off Temu and asked us to install it. . We where able to lay out the temu kit the JTX kit and 1 of our OEM kits next to each other. to compare. The JTX kit and the temu kit shared some of the same fit issues. The quality of the JTX was 10 fold over the temu kit. Not knowing what the vendors on temu do, from what I saw I would guess all the parts where made in the same place. But the temu kits were 2nds belms or rejects. We could not even install the temu kit it was so bad.

Hope this post helps anyone in making a choice of who to buy from .
