Let me first say that I am really sad about selling this truck. I really love it. But I recently took the dive and bought a dedicated trail rig and I need a tow rig.

So on to the LX. It is currently located in Houston, Texas. I bought this in October 2011 from a guy in Atlanta, GA who bought it from the original owner in Charleston, SC. The Atlanta guy is a flipper, so he kept it for a bit and then put it up for sale on Craigslist. My brother (DanKunz) checked it out and I bought it. It had 120,xxx miles on it.

The truck had all dealer service on schedule when I bought it, including the “big service” (and I’ll try to find the receipts). Since then, I’ve changed the oil, fluids, etc. on schedule. I also put front brakes on it last year. The windshield is new this year after a rock chip turned into a big crack.
Once I bought the truck, I immediately sent it to ACC in Atlanta to have some work done. This is the list and I have the receipt (to the tune of $6,200):

Tires
5 - Dura-Trac Wranglers 285/75/16

Front Suspension (Iron Man)
Shocks
Torsion bars
Control arm reinforcements

Diff Drop
Slee diff drop
Rear suspension (Iron Man)

Shocks
Springs TOYO13B
Front Bumper

Iron Man
Iron Man winch
Sliders

Metal Tech sliders
Remove AHC Components

Other
Inner CV boot clamps

After all the work was done, my dad drove the truck to Houston from Atlanta around Christmas of 2011. Since then, I’ve wheeled it mildly, but mostly it’s been a DD. I have a whopping 6 mile commute to work, so I haven’t put many miles on it in the past 2 ½ years. It does have some pinstriping and a dent on the roofline from where I scraped up against a tree. The glass in the rear window did not break and the seal is intact. It is missing one wheel cover from rock rub. The tires are still in great shape, and have a long ways left on them.

The interior is in good shape for its age. The leather on the driver seat is cracking a bit, but not bad. I have the third row seats, and they will come with it. There are some stains on the carpets here and there, but mostly normal wear and tear. I will detail the truck before delivery to make sure all the West Texas grime is removed from the last camping trip! It's a great family wheeling and camping rig!

Here are a few pictures, but I'll need to take some of the interior, etc. The first one is right after ACC finished the upgrades. Then wheeling at Katemcy, then a picture of the dent.

I am asking $18,500. Please email me at k9crazy at bellsouth dot net or PM me with questions or with interest.

A couple of questions:

Can you provide some details as to how the dent is being repaired? Who is doing it? I am considering this truck, but the dent worries me.

What is the oil puddle on the street from?

What was involved in removing the AHC?

Any underside pics?

Any mechanical issues?

Any issues with the Atrac?

Thanks

The dent is being repaired by a local body shop. They are first going to try paintless dent repair and buffing for the scuffs. If that doesn't work well, then we'll do a full repair at their body shop. If I am going to do this, it's going to be done right.

It isn't oil, it's water. A/C condensation. Nothing out of the ordinary, as it's hot in Houston and the AC runs a lot.

The AHC was removed at ACC in Atlanta. The cut all the lines and removed them. They left the main components under the hood, but disconnected everything.

No mechanical issues I know of.

No issues with ATRAC. Fully functioning.

Thanks. Any underside pics? Is it completely rust free?

Also, forgive my ignorance, but is the AHC a self-contained system? i.e. can the components just be removed and the end result be a truck equivilent to one that did not come with AHC (aside from the buttons, indicators, etc). Maybe I need to do some searching on this.

I can take some pictures, but I don't have any right now. Yes, it's rust free.

The AHC can be removed, but you either cap things in place or rip it all out. I had ACC in Atlanta do the work and put on the Ironman lift. If you go over to the 100-series forum, you can find removal threads there for your research.

Update: Still working to get the truck into the body shop based on their schedule. I'll post up in this thread when I get things scheduled and let everyone know when it's due to be done.

Whoo hoodoo!!!
