No issues with pinching. I honestly haven't even looked at this since I first installed it. The plastic around the wire is much larger than the wire inside. I forget what AWG wiring I used but just powering some low wattage led lights on the roof .
I will check the wire gauge later tonight.
I'd imagine if you were running something thicker it could be a pinch problem but this setup had no issues for me.
Not the cleanest solution but seems to work and stays put nicely in my windshield moulding...
I used this like blue playdoh like stuff ( some form of jb weld if i recall ) to stick it down and help hold its shape. I didnt think it would hold up but years later and it hasnt moved.
