Soft-top and Old-style doors for Georgia

So, I've had some more free time of late to work on Georgia. Dusted off some parts that had been lying around for far too long.

Installed the OEM syle soft-top (thanks Steve!) and some rust-free old style doors and installed a tail gate (thanks Justin!)

It was easy work but a ton of fiddling to get everything to fit correctly!

It's an OCD top from Steve's personal collection; I've been robbing it recently for radios, softops, etc. The CB is next, he just doesn't know it yet.

OCD tops are no longer available, there is LOTS of info on MUD on them and how several people paid and didn't receive the tops, etc, and I don't think an alternate supplier has come forward yet.

The soft top bows are a Real Steel kit (kit only because it comes in pieces; it takes A LOT of fiddling to get it to fit right):

It's a canvas top, so yeah, it will keep rain off, but for how long, who knows. It's a treated canvas, but I don't intend to leave it outside all winter. This truck is an Apr to Oct truck for me anyhow and is stored undercover now rather than in my driveway as it was for the first 5 years I drove it.

Trollhole cruisers now supplies those tops. New supplier as u can imagine but excellent quality.

I like the draft windows and the latches on these older doors, also these are rust-free as my other doors were rotten on the bottom.

That is fantastic ! As a supporter of the Oranje (Dutch National soccer team), I have always liked that colour. I have an extra Netherlands flag that you could attach. I fly the colours during the World Cup, even though they have never won the contest despite making the finals 3 times (1974, 1978 and 2010 - but who's counting

It should be even more speedy now without the HT weight. Ahhhh and if only you had some Australian ranch fencing to add to the front eh? What ever happened to that bushbar? Redistributed to sliders or somewhere else...

Yep, Jeremy picked it up in a package deal with my M12000 winch which ended up on Gavin's truck. The Ozzie brush guard, I'm not sure what he did with it.

Not that I'm Irish, but the Orange and Green is a subtle theme....

Even if it is treated canvas, you should look into soaking it in that canvas tent wax/oil stuff. True it does stink, but it makes the canvas waterproof and more importantly protects from UV damage. Treat it when its warm/stretched. First rain there may be a minor leakage, but if you don't touch the canvas and let it dry out it seems to seal up and stay water tight.

Very cool Rob!

I've read about people wetting their tops after install to weatherproof the canvas; Wet it with a hose on a gentle spray, then let dry...repeat. There's lots of info on line about weatherproofing canvas.

Love those doors too.
