Hey Mark, I'll take that one where you've freed both ports on the cooler. Is that some kind of revision on the pipe
neck? I've never seen one quite look like that. About to ring your number also.

Hey Mark,

Checking this again because the pipes you pictured are indeed different as I mentioned on the phone. The first pipe
pictured above is for the 76-1/79 short necked EGR valve. The second pipe pictured is for the 1/79 and
later long necked EGR valve.

I have a May 1979 build and need the second shorter style pipe I'm showng.

Here's a snippet from your original post long ago showing the pipe style I need.

So to recap I need the shorter pipe style and I'd like the EGR cooler you pictured that has both ports
free.

Is this still workable? Can you lay hands on the needed pipe?

Thank you for doing my homework for me on the difference. I will grab a couple of the other style of pipes this weekend and snap another picture for you Dave.

i suppose either of those would be fine if the nuts spin freely and there doesn't appear to be
any damage that would cause a leak. Ok. Writing you a check for mail right now.
