Well I ended this bad day that started rough with white smoke coming out of the cruiser exhaust. It is either a blown gasket and pray the head is not cracked. I had it towed to the shop and we will see what happened.

Don't do a V8 swap... I don't wanna see a V8 project halfway done and for sale here in 3 months... Seems to be the going trend for those trying to swap a V8 in the crusiers.
I replaced my HG in about 5 evenings... was it a PITS... yes! but actually very doable...

Ihave not heard back yet how bad. It is a 97 and I purchased it from someone in ATL in Feb. I am not what you call mechanic inclined ( nor granted patience) and have a shop working on it who are friends of mine. I am hoping to hear tommorrow and asked them to go ahead and complete any other items needed while we are there. I have a new job and will be driving about 2k a month.

I live by xm radio...122 on Sirus from 2-7 the Paul Finebaum show for you sports fan and rival radio in the morning.
It looks like just the head gasket blew....inside looks good. Head is being sent for pressure test and valve work while it is off. Going to go ahead do new spark plugs and wires... good thing I officially know now the timing chain has been recently changed as the guy who i bought it from said. Still had the color and marks from setting it up. Hoepfully get it back sometime early next week.

I may have missed it... but... your friends are using an OEM gasket correct? Otherwise you'll be redoing this at the same interval....
