So, who's up for a fall colors run to Harlan?

I shall only be at Harlan in spirit, racing up near Green Bay that weekend. Really bummed to not be there. Somehow racing and wheeling have managed to butt heads more this year than in the past.

I'm really just sad I can't take a s*** off the side of the mountain really though

It is glorious! s***valanch!

My old dog Max (RIP) used to climb to the top of snow piles in the apartment complexes i lived in after college and would s*** off the top of them; it would roll down, turning into a frozen s*** ball when it got to the bottom. I need to try that, i mean its the little things like that that are the spice of life.

Fear not my friend (Conner) I shall s*** on your behalf.
Now I'm looking forward to the trip even more.

I have been having to drive my mini to work this week cause I got the interior out of the T100 for stereo upgrades.
And I noticed it has a slight list to starboard. I measured from the springs to the frame & I'm bout 1/2" lower on the starboard side, stern, & 3/4" bow. Odd as it used to sit level. No broken springs or blown shocks, no mounts ripped or anything I can see.
But I don't like it!

Fear not Tony, for it is the way of awesome trucks. All awesome ones lean, as if to display how cool they are... A gangster lean if you will...

Johns claim is broken, my beached whale leans over an inch and its far from cool!!

G-off, your whale is very cool, as is Mr. Ballards Pig.
My truck must think its gangsta because I listen to so much Rap music.

Did you install the 3/8" spacer on the drivers (iirc) side front spring mount?

Tony, my current plans are to drive down early Friday morning. I think John was doing the same but not sure.

Good question, that is if those Springs take them. Most skyjacker/Rancho/superlift all made the springs specific for each side and use no spacer. If the springs are flipped side to side it would lean.

I blew up two transmission mounts on my v8 power experiment at badlands. Thinking of picking up some hockey pucks to replace them. What do you guys think?

Here is a thread that will help you guys with trail/obstacle planning. Mainly it will show the stuff NOT to try. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/usa-southeast/787783-harlan-trail-pic-thread.html
Those dudes snow wheeling up there are nuts! I'm pretty sure my balls aren't big enough to try that.

Bryan: I dont know if a hockey puck would be any better than a poly mount, however when you order pucks, get ones from the Czech Republic. They are better, seriously. The heep guys use them for body mounts with ok success. i would be worried about breaking them on a trans, and i don't know how much you will be saving over a set of daystar poly mounts.

It is amazing how much twist a 3.4 with duals (2.28 + 5:1) can make! I'm sure a 5.3 with duals is considerable! I tried to make a x member out of tube, and the tube kept ripping!

That's half the reason he went with the 5.3.

Badass, didn't even know you can fit duals in an 80.

Damn, I feel so under sized inthe transfer department. I think I am the only one with just one transfer case. I may not be able to look any of you inthe eyes again. My shame and feeling of unworthiness is too much to put into words.
