Got up Widow Main. Snow was warmed up into concrete. Made breaking new trail deep impossible. We got up into a clear cut. Nice day. Blasted away with .22/.410. Nicks daughter spotted the elk cows lying in the clear cut 30 m away. Lots of healthy elk on the island now. Very cool. Nice to get out and just relax.

Very fun day!! Have got to get out more! Few more pictures and video. Was very heavy melted wet snow. No easy powder or frozen crust here.

Trying to go up a hill for the third time. Gained about 40ft each time; but not worth the hassle in the end.

Saw four bull elk in town. These two having fun.

This is where we wanted to go....but snow to deep and road to steep. (mountain in back)

**** yeah son .410 is a sweet caliber not manny rocking it nowadays
Sadly, quality sucks. The new rounds are so cheap the brass expanded so bad on one brand that they wouldn't allow the action
to cycle. Pathetic. I won't get into specifics on this forum, but the gun was brand new so not that.

If anyone else wants to get out wheeling, just let me know. I can make a thread each time we plan something. Lots of family friendly runs into easy access areas are possible. 33"+ good tires on reliable cruiser is a prerequisite though.
