Well merry christmas to me! I woke up this morning to find my "garage" had succumbed to the weight of the snow. I got off pretty easy - a couple of little dents and scrapes on both front fenders and one good one on the roof, plus a couple miscellaneous scrapes elsewhere.

I'm taking this as a sign that the Cruiser Gods are angry at me for being such a puss with my shiny truck, and it's time to get to using it as They intended :grinpimp:

I have the same leanto thing. The snow needs to be knocked off every few hours.
I was outside at 11pm last night cleaning mine and was wondering if it would be standing this AM (it was). This is my third leanto and strongest

hopefully the damage is minor
now go wheel that damn Cruiser

I'd go with Jeff's blue magic shelter: cheaper and stronger. Also easy to secure to the wheels. Neighbour had one of those nice tube shelters covering his classic in the back yard. Last year during a big wind storm it took flight clearing his 8' fence and taking out the windshield and fender of his DD. The shelter stood up to the beating but did about $2500 damage to his car. And yes, it was anchored according to the instructions. Now it is tied down to the fence posts.

Well, Jeff's magic shelter isn't too practical for a year round near-daily driver...

This one has held up for a good 8 or 9 years at least, with one fresh set of tarps added last year. Couple of years back when we had a big dump I got under it with a snow shovel to knock the snow off, and promptly ripped a huge gash in the tarp. So I wasn't going to make THAT mistake again.... doofus.

I will say that they can take a pretty large amount of snow on the roof... for a while :D

Use railway ties, great big ones, the length of the shelter and screw down to them. No way it will lift then.
