Just as a single data point and FYI, my FJ60 dizzy was plug 'n play with my stock 12/79 coil and igniter.

Pretty sure mine needs an update. Looks almost original if not pretty old

Yes, your '69 will definitely need a late coil and igniter. My (12/79) 1980 already had the later (smaller than FJ60) electronic dizzy, so it already had the correct coil and igniter.

If you use a used fj60 distributor, check the advance limiter pin. The originals were plastic and likely missing.
