The only experience I’ve had with a double cardan were on my old Chevy Blazers…..I just remember they were a bear to grease.
This... before you install it put angled zerks in and it helps greatly.

I have "tube" that locks into the grease gun. then you press the tube against the zirk to grease it - fits in very tight places but you do need to press it in place.

First thing I'd do is cut that wierd hunk of metal that I guess is a weight for balancing off my driveline. The one at the top. Grease the slip spline with heavy grease, old drum brake stuff, go for a drive, I bet the rattle comes and goes right around 42 to 45 MPH ? What I found was that if I rotated pinion to create equal angle then it would bind at full droop, so pinion up until no bind but live with rattle, happens most when you lift for an offramp coming off freeway.

If you look up a bit, I replaced that DS with a new Double Cardan one....so not sure if you missed that or not. And when I did have the single DS installed (before lift) I had zero vibrations.

So closing this thread out. The 4 degree shims did the trick and no more vibration and rumbling due to the angle of the diff with the new double cardan. Install was straight forward and painless. Now on to the front shims for fixing that negative caster.

Big thanks to @405 , @Mark Jennings and of course, @GA Architect for all the support when the knuckles were bloody.
