I have been wondering about this very same question. The flares are important but a bang on the cat will do the deed .

Christo is following this thread i think. Hopefully he can chime in with a few more details on his sliders.

Attached are two photo's showing the under cat bracket. Both installed and not. No doubt, you can have more plate there, but I have personally never damaged a cat with the sliders installed. Ken's plate is good, however you do loose some clearance with it. Another thing to remember is that the exhaust is rubber moutned and has some give.

Our bracket sits slightly below the cats and if you had to drop on them, you will hit the bracket first.

Are these pics from the 95-97 model or the 93-94? Wasn't sure the '94 model bracket went under the cats? Front cap looks nice as well.
