I thought Slee had a roof rack mount for the HiLift???
I don't see it on the WebSite.
Did Slee have one, and was it something Slee had made or was it the HiLift brand mount/lock?

I need to mount the X-Treme HiLift I just bought.
The store sold the Hilift brand lock/mount but was thinking Slee had one for the factory roof rack.

I got the African Outback rack with the hi-lift mount, very slick setup IMHO.

Rattles like an SOB though, any ideas how to quite it down?

Are you saying that the rack rattles or that the hilift mount on the rack rattles or that the hilift in the hilift mount is rattling? I hope the rack wont rattle at all. If its the hilift mount, maybe coating it with that plasticized and rubberized tool handle coating would stealth it for ya? If its the hilift itself I always wrap two bungee cords around it to prevent the rattling. HTH.

No, the rack does not rattle whatsoever, the design of it is top notch!

The hi-lift mount has 2 studs that come out and go through the base of the hilift and that is what holds it on. The base of the hilift rattles on those 2 studs. I have the poly handle bracket thing to prevent the handle from rattling! :D

Okay, so it sounds like you need to coat those two studs with something that dampens or put two nylon type bushings over them. I guess I would not try to coat the base of the highlift itself unless I took the base to like a rhinoliner dealer and got them to spray with some extra hardener?!? Perhaps you could spray the mount and the base and really stealth it out?!? I'm just guessing as you can prolly tell! :D But, its good to know that the rack itself does not rattle whatsoever!!! Is yours black or silver and do you have the top rail as well as the platform? Thanks.

Yeah, sounds like a lot of work :D I will probably figure something out and post up.

I got the full black rack with the full rail, very happy!

This is what I did. I found some poly hose at Lowes, heated it up and slid pieces over the 2 studs on the Hi-Lift bracket.

Still have to use bungies to stop the jack itself from rattling. Works great now.
