I know the answer to this since I have a 1/2 rail sitting in my garage. The half rail is more like a 1/3 rail and is 700 mm long (at least that's what it says on the packaging). You could have 2 1/2 rails, one on each side, but then you would be left with a 700mm space in the middle with no rail. Also the half rails curve down at the ends so they really can't be linked together.

So if you had another half rail just imagine this rail on the other side.

I didn't see the half-rail pic when I looked yesterday. Shorter with a gap would be okay with me.

A full length rack with both full and 1/2 rails is on its way for my 100 !! :cheers:

I am so glad I waited a while to finally get one, I was not looking forward to paying $ to get mine powder coated black..NOW I dont have to !! :D

I will give a full report on the installation and pics of the finished product soon !

Do those Wolf Storage boxes have holes in the bottom for mounting?

From the photos they appear to fit 3 wide on the rack, is that correct?

Just ordered mine too! Full rack with Rail for my 80! Woo Hoo!

curious, why did you order both rails? plan on a tent part time? i am contemplating as well

I too ordered both the full and the half rails, just a little flexibility I guess. Not sure which I will run primarily, a little bit of cost and who knows how long the wait might be if you needed it later. Looking forward to getting it installed......now what to do with the holes left from the stock rack.

Yep..I figured that this rack will last forever, so I might as well get any/all of the optional rails to use for any rack configuration that I may ever need (I.E. roof tent or oversized items..etc.. ) .

I am looking forward to adding various add-ons too, like a double jerry can holder, spade bracket, lights..and all that the other good stuff that a high quality rack can carry ! :D
 
Whats the status on the shipping?

I am itching to get my rack on!

Also, you menton that you were getting awnings, any details on those?
