the 100s guys are snickering big time right now... :D

Because we tend to get sidetracked in discussions of the construction used on liberty ships or because some weirdo is concerned about matching colors on the armour on his 80?

Liberty ships and color matched sliders are far too technical for the 100 series list. They tend to post stuff about color matching the windshield washer fluid. The exception is Spressoman. He has potential, and I fully expect him to be buying an 80 series soon.

They fight. Pick one or the other.

Actually, no less than Cruiserdan has a Slee rear, and Hanna sliders. He also has a god-aweful front bumper as well, that he welded himself from scrap WWII liberty ship hull plates.

The liberty ship front bumper crumbled on a rock at Moab last year. I think he forgot to grind off all the rust or something. He's now sporting a new Slee front bumper with some custom mods to make it ugly. He couldn't help himself.

I may be a wierdo, but I really enjoy my wierdness. The world has far, far too many "normal" people.

Yes, one must remember that if weird things happen where weird things are supposed to happen this isn't weird at all but rather normal. Weird things are only weird when they happen where normal things are supposed to happen.

So really weirdness is a relative subject...;)

FWIW, a friend of mine ordered Slee sliders (not the step sliders) and they came with a textured coating, however, my Slee's came in gloss black. I think both look good, but you might want to check with the manufacturer to make sure which you will be getting if that is an issue to you.
