Is there supposed to be a small, removable access cover under the oil pan drain on a 2013 200? I was looking around underneath today and it looks like there is supposed to be one but it is missing on my rig.

There is an access cover on my 2013 LC - passenger side toward the back.

Yes removable, and easily left off by whomever is performing the service. If I'm not doing the oil change myself, I check for it every time.

thanks! A pic with the part number, can't beat that for a reply! Seemed pretty obvious there was something missing. Should have looked harder when before I bought it. Thanks again.

We have a 2015 LC 200, and it doesn't have that removable access plate/cover. I'm assuming I will need to remove the entire front skid plate when I want to change oil & oil filter. Is that true? I had to do this on our 2014 4Runner too, so I'm not against it, I just want to know in advance what I'm looking at.

We bought the truck used, and the dealer did an oil change as part of their used car prep. But, the "retired burger flipper" who changed the oil spilled a boatload of oil on the top side of the skid plate(s) and also over-tightened the drain plug , splitting the gasket. Yes, there was oil all over our garage floor. It took TWO trips back to the dealer before the mess was finally cleaned up. I'm thinking they tried to change the oil without removing the skid plate, but who knows? There's one bolt missing from the front skid plate already too. Sheesh!

Be happy they at least put oil back in, don't ask me how I know.

Don't forget to order the two bolts needed to secure it too if you don't have them. They are not always in stock at your local dealership.

Does anyone know if you order this part (51456-60070), if it also comes with the 2 bolts or do they need to be ordered separately?

According to my diagrams they are not included.

Bud Built skids, Fumoto valve and Jowett filter canister and drain valve problem solved. Period

Yeah I guess that solves the problem of a missing oil drain plug access panel....

Or, you could save a ton of money and weight and from what I've read have a much simpler time installing skids by staying stock and learning how to do oil changes yourself, or bringing it to a competent mechanic with some attention to detail.

OR.. just convert to electric. No more oil changes. Problem solved. PERIOD.
