Single DIN unit for a 2002 LC with Nav

I’ve always wanted to upgrade the headunit to get better audio quality, however with my nav unit I don’t have a lot of options.
I considered a Tesla style unit but I’m not sure if it’s plug and play or not, also I’m concerned about its AC controls.
I may do a nav delete as a last resort but i wanted to make sure if I can replace the Audio control unit under the Screen instead.
