I'm running a MAF 4+ rear bumper with dual swing-outs, so I put an NMO mount for my ham radio on top of the spare tire mount, and my cb antenna on the jerry can basket on the other swing-out. They both work adequately for trail use, though there is not much ground plane back there so I have to run 1/2-wave antennas. The 2M/70cm ham radio does not interfere with the cb. No problem with a cb interfering with anything else since they are so weak (4 watts).

are there any precautions to take when mounting the antennas on the front bumper in regard to engine alternator interference?

in 3 years that i own my 40,never have an issue with engine interference, my 2f engine still have points ignition, regular 7 mm cables for sparks, dual batt. but i know i put good grounds: batt-engine-chassis all in 1 join point for all the cables, even in the front bumper i run extra ( - ) wire for each ant. to the chassis. My dual band radio its old school from 1995 era so new radios have better filters and still work great with non issues, regular toyota alt on the engine.....
