I have a question into the seller....

"Did you retro fit a 1992-1994 grill onto this "1995" truck?

Waiting for response....

The VIN decodes as a 94

if you buy, prepare your self for the possibility of an engine rebuild/transmission rebuild in the nearish future. Think of how much these two things would cost.....If it were me I would probably buy it if it ran well. However, I know I wouldnt mind spending money on it..a lot. If your looking for something to use as a daily driver for a long time to come and with minimal repair costs, try something with less mileage. It does have 250,000 miles on it. Cruisers run for a long time but they arent invincible. Just something to think about.

If are dead set on buying, try finding things wrong with the truck that need repair, then point these things out to him to try to lower the price. Look for leaky birfields, power steering pump, pinion seals (where the driveshaft meets the axle). Check the tire condition, brake condition, check for any leaks (t-case, engine, transmission) Then try to get him down to 2000. I think 2000 would be pretty reasonable.

oh and if you do buy it, be sure to take off those running boards!

NO. It is a 1995 run the VIN#

So for some reason he thinks it is a 95...

BUYER BEWARE...

I ran it at carfax on the intro page

VIN JT3DJ81W9R0085633
Year/Make/Model: 1994 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER
Body Style: 4 DR. WAGON/SPORT UTILITY
Engine Type: 4.5L L6 EFI DOHC 24V
Manufactured In: JAPAN
Search Results: 12 records found in our database
IMPORTANT! The 12 records on this 1994 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER may confirm a clean title history or uncover potential problems. Find out by ordering the complete CARFAX Vehicle History Report .

I just searched and found Gumby's VIN decoder...the R = 1994...S would be 1995.

Some people have a tough time admitting they are wrong.

A 60 in really good tune will get slightly better mileage than an 80. A FJ62 will get about the same or less than an 80. An 80 is much better vehicle, and I own both so I can say that. The 60 has its charm, but the 80 is better at everything except mileage and classic looks.

OK, well I wont be getting that one then. Dam! What gets better MPG's....60 or 80's?

Don't buy a Land Cruiser for the mileage it gets...or doesn't, if that is an issue for DD you might look for something else. We get bad mpg, we know it...

To close this care...just received this reply:
