shorten pto shaft?

As I sit waiting for my new-to-me BJ74 to be hauled across the border from Canada I have also been thinking about making a new front bumper. Maybe modding an ARB to incorporate the pto winch.

Anyone recall a thread on this forum about relocating the pto winch by making the prop shaft shorter? I can't find it... maybe dreamed it.

nothing new in that mate, cut the piece out of the shaft and sleeve it with a piece of tube and weld it up, if you cut the ends of the tube on an angle you get more welding surface area
