Finally convinced my older brother to let me have his 1970 FJ55 that he's had for 20+ years! Was willing to pay for it but he said I could have it as long I as not sell it and keep it in the family. These are current pics of it. Only problem now is it's in Clearlake, CA and I live in Palmetto, GA. Looking for recommendations for a vehicle shipping company. Currently my brother thinks it's stuck in 2nd gear. He's going to try to get it driveable but not sure(he's not much of a mechanic). The FJ55 has original 3 speed mated to TPI 350 that a high school shop class installed a few years back.
Yes, I know the grill previous owner made has to go! That's 1st on the list to fix.
Everything but grill and engine is original I think.

I am shipping my Piggy from Washington state to North Carolina and the lowest quote I received was $1400. The highest I received was $3200 - quite a spread...

Keep in mind that most automotive shipping companies are merely contractors who negotiate online with automotive shipping truck drivers, many who are independent drivers.

Good luck

Is it coming to California or going away. Looks great.. Hard to come by fj55s up here (ca) hardly any adds come up

Thanks for all the input. ebrake works but not running right now. He's going to try to get her running. 1st thing is to replace grill! Even though I do own a jeep , that's no jeep and is getting an original grill put back in soon as I get it! Just not sure what I'm going to do about those chopped front fenders. Probably end up replacing them.
