Hi All,

I am looking to ship a transfer case roughly 120# from CA to VT. Has anyone tackled this? I am trying to figure out the best means ie. Fedex, UPS, other freight companies. I haven't dug into the best way to package this thing yet either. Trying to save the buyer some coin and figure out the best way. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Plastic tote from home depot or triple walled cardboard box and pack it with cardboard as well as you possibly can. We ship transfer cases usually about once a week and it is usually about $150-200 for Fedex/UPS ground. Make sure you insure it for the full value as it usually only cost 1% of the insurance value and is well worth it. If you don't and have to make a claim the most you will get is the shipment cost.

Automatic transmissions or trans/t-case combos we do freight which is usually $250ish.

Came out to 141#s and the best price I could get was $268 for the 19x19x13 box.
