I'll have to let lenny give all the 'man' details...But I know it has a dana 300, v8, lockers, a wench, good rear axle, probably have to change out the front ( eventually), and it's puuurty!
Lenny says it drives great at 70! This particular detail is, in my opinion, the shizzle!
They should be back pretty late tonight, but I have a feeling he will be postin pics and details ASAP.

Thanks to all who looked for me!

Nolen, jambalaya soon!! Thx for all your help! You called "it"!

Georg, you should get some jambalaya too! Thanks for all your time and input!

You guys are the best!
; )

Congrats to Mrs and Mr Ross - very purdy truck! Looks like a 14bolt semi-float rear and I believe Lenny said it had a GM 10bolt front. Those will work for now but soon the dark side will sneak in and we will be changing those out...:wrench::cool::wrench:

The Deal
We decide to meet at a halfway point and lovely Amarillo,TX gets the nod. I tell brian i aint familiar with amarillo and he says his wife knows of a place.

So big texan becomes the meeting place. Turns out to be the biggest tourist Trap in he state.. But they brew beer so all is well..
We showed up around 6pm brian showed up around 10pm.'
We scamper over the dimly lit silver 40 like squirrell trying to get a nut.

After a few beers we all get to talking and it turns out Brian blew off a few people Who called before me because he decided not to sell it. Turns out the Craigslist ad was expired but his mother in law renewed it.

We get to talkin about the first time i called and he said he was hunting and then his phone died. He went on to say that only reason he decided to sell it to me was because i was persistent and showed a true interest in it.

Ya see my PIAness paid off !

Anyway we really feel like we found a gem to add the the CLC family.

Love ya sheila! Can't wait to see you behind the wheel!!

Oh and Happy birthday, happy anniversary, merry christmas happy thanksgiving, Kwanza...

When all this started, "someone" told me "decide what you want and I will get it for you".

Not too many men out there would risk saying something like that to their wives... ; ) talk about suicide!

But he did, and herein lies the result...... far exceeding any expectation I had for a 40 for me. I love it and I haven't even sat in it yet!

Here's to many years on the trail together....

love you

and just TRY keeping up with me on these ms backroads
