Congrats to Mrs and Mr Ross - very purdy truck! Looks like a 14bolt semi-float rear and I believe Lenny said it had a GM 10bolt front. Those will work for now but soon the dark side will sneak in and we will be changing those out...![]()
Would you know anyone that has a D60 front?![]()
Yall asked for it..
Here it goes.
Some history:
Brian ( previous owner) has had the 40 since he was a teenager. It started out blue in 1990. He and Shannon Campbell were high school buds and are still giving each other hell today. Later he swaps in a v8
Brian mostly hunts now and uses a ranger To tear up, since liked his 40 so much. Enter 2005 and brian takes his blue 40 to shannon and his brother nick for 15 k worth of upgrades. Brian comes to witness shannon went crazy on his rig and sports a

We decide to meet at a halfway point and lovely Amarillo,TX gets the nod. I tell brian i aint familiar with amarillo and he says his wife knows of a place.
So big texan becomes the meeting place. Turns out to be the biggest tourist Trap in he state.. But they brew beer so all is well..
We showed up around 6pm brian showed up around 10pm.'
We scamper over the dimly lit silver 40 like squirrell trying to get a nut.
After a few beers we all get to talking and it turns out Brian blew off a few people Who called before me because he decided not to sell it. Turns out the Craigslist ad was expired but his mother in law renewed it.
We get to talkin about the first time i called and he said he was hunting and then his phone died. He went on to say that only reason he decided to sell it to me was because i was persistent and showed a true interest in it.
Ya see my PIAness paid off !
Anyway we really feel like we found a gem to add the the CLC family.
Love ya sheila! Can't wait to see you behind the wheel!!
Oh and Happy birthday, happy anniversary, merry christmas happy thanksgiving, Kwanza...
