Can someone post a video of how the hinges work? When the seat is folded forward, is there a spring that pushes the arm up/down?

The spring doesn't move the arm up or down, but it does hold the arm in the up or down position. The spring is that small vertical riveted stainless piece in the center in the photo below.

Ahhhh.... I see. The arm has a bit of a cam that presses against that spring and locks it in a position.
