put the second CV Axle in my truck this week so the old one is becoming my trail spare in case I or someone else ever needs one to get off trail or home. While I was at the shop he had a second cv axle laying there he just took out of another....I will bring it as well and if nobody breaks Saturday then it is available to the highest bidder if you ever thought about a trail spare but did not want to buy a new OEM or Aftermarket. This is a toyota axle but is missing inner boot. So it could use new boots and grease to make it ready but will work as it sits if needed. I have it wrapped in two heavy black trash bags now and will be at my tent.

I also have a spare set of axle/birf assemblies for the front on a 40 series that ride in my tow vehicle toolbox. They are complete and ready to swap in, but won't do me any good anymore since I moved to 30spline Longs. I keep them there for anyone else, but had almost forgotten :) I vacuum sealed them in some loooong bags.

90% chance of rain Friday night through Saturday. It says a quarter inch is possible.

Now what? Do I drive 6.5 hours and get nothing but rain, or stay home?

That's what I have.... quater inch??? what is that 4 minutes of hard rain :grinpimp:

Most of the time it has rained around hear lately its been 2-3 inches per hour

I still have 30 Fri and 40 sat.

Mary and I will be there rain or shine.

The dogs say bring on the cooler temperatures mother nature. I couldn't agree more as long as the rain stays during the night.

So how many pups will be there? I know I'm bringing mine.

On a positive note, any rain will help keep the dust down on the trails and roads. Plus the trails can dry out fairly quickly.

I had the same thought as it was raining here earlier. Man was it dusty last time.

Anyone leaving RTP around 5:30ish?

That is one thing I don't miss about the 40. Learned real quick to be at the front of the pack.. It was like going to the beach, but instead of sand it was dust.. Everywhere..
