Sell the 100 or keep it?

I can't imagine beating up an 01 Land Cruiser with 65,000 miles.
So I have an Idea! I will trade you my 98 LandCruiser w/ 85k, and give you $5,000 towards beefing it up. It will be just as capable as your 01 .

Shotts, in your opinion since your Mr. 100, what would be the ideal year to get a 100. My funds or lack of funds would probably just let me get a 99-02 Cruiser. What would you opt for, 98-99 with locker (weaker front diff.) or Traction control I believe 2000+?? It would be nice having a 100 for the kick back trails.....

Easy choice...lot's of great threads too. 2000+ though I'm biased to the 2001+ cuz ya get the JBL sound system.

Not so...the 80's easier...but it's fairly easy on the 100. Here:

Oh yeah, rub it in. He's regretted buying those 33's since the day he put them on!!

If I could do things over again, I would have skipped the 33`s altogether, but now I`ve gotta get my $$ worth out of these MT/Rs...

Well...its kinda like this...

I was a bit worried about rubbing/loss of articulation by fitting 35`s after reading (much earlier threads) regarding the subject of 35`s on the 100..

I didnt want to mess with lowering bump-stops, knuckle/ball joint clearance and the such, so I decided to go with the 33" MT/Rs and call it a day...

Well..it seems like more peeps are running 35`s these days, and depending on WIDTH, you can get away with the bigger rubber with very few issues (except the bumpstop issue)...

Dont get me wrong, I like my current set-up a lot, I have FULL articulation, I gained clearance, and any power loss was basically undetectable...

BUT...I am already ready for a larger tire due to the type of wheeling I do, and the kinds of vehicles I go out with ( BIG trucks with BIG tires on trails with BIG rocks)..so I will take the plunge when these tires are worn out..

Would I do it over again the same way (knowing what I know now ?)...

NO WAY !!...

But untill then...I am still wheelin` with the big boys, constantly amazing them by what this mall-cruzah can do !!

Its more the MT/R that I am not thrilled about, not the diameter...

Besides...its not the SIZE that counts, its how you use it !

I drive these non-100 owners crazy on the forum because I so prefer the 100, BUT......YA GOTTA HAVE AN 80....YA JUST GOTTA...for those places the 100 won't cut it. (1 in a million )
