I need a rack for future RTT attachment and told my wife I would look for a deal. Anybody upgrading or changing and have o e for sale?

Thanks. He welds them himself and that price is for bare metal. Maybe I should take a look at them and see how they look...

For pretty cheap, if that's a priority to keep the wife happy, it may not be bad. I've had good luck with DIYing a truck bed type spray on coating. My off road trailer was built using it. All the normal downsides, but easy to touch up.

thanks for your perspective - I reached out to him - we will
See how it goes

For perspective, my Gamiviti rack was designed by a guy in his garage, welded by a buddy, and was well over double that. Granted, it’s powder coated and very well thought out, but had I seen these before I bought mine, I would’ve taken a closer look, might be true garbage, never know.

Agreed, Gamiviti is a well thought out rack, love mine!
But again, as you mentioned, it's not cheap, but it is a fair price for what you get!

We have a 3 bar system that we had made specifically for people who want to mount a tent and have no need for a full rack. Midguard Adventure Bars. Intro price of 549. Shoot us an email if you'd like to be on the list. Hoping to receive the 460 bars next week and will begin invoicing and shipping out asap!

I like the simplicity of this but I do wish that it had more cross bars (that means I need a full flat rack lol). This should be the perfect minimalist option for those simply wanting a RTT mounting option.

I am also looking for a rack for my 460 here in Texas.

So what are you wanting for a rack? I think I want the SSO or the Prinsu or Victory - problem is, everybody that gets one of these 3 likes them too much to change racks and sell the old one!

I am leaning Victory or Rhino with the Backbone system at the moment. I had a Prinsu on the 4Runner before this and I loved everything about it but the way that the feet mounted, it was a horrible design. The SSO, Victory, Sherpa and others have taken the Prinsu design and improved upon it with better mounting designs for the feet. The SSO is nice but the side rails are too busy for me. Victory said they are 4-5 weeks out and the Rhino you either wait or piece meal it out buying the Backbone somewhere and the rack at another vendor, that's if you can find either in stock at the moment.

I've got an SSO for GX460 that I'd sell. I love the way it looks, and when I put it on my plan was a RTT. But then I changed directions and went with a trailer, and I love it so won't be going the RTT route.

Not much wind noise at all, but it does cost 1-2 mpg on the highway, so I took it off and went back to stock roof rails / cross members.

Shipping might be a problem - expensive and good chance of some powder coat damage.
