Any one know if other vehicle seats will fit into a 90 Runner without too many mods

The earlier trucks and 4Runner seats are pretty close.... I went out of my way to get some 90 SR5 4Runner seats for my 89.... do you have the SR5 seats, or no...?

Thanks for the welcome 2Gen, it has the SR5 seats, passenger side and backs are in excellent condition but the drivers side has wear along the left side. I have looked at 6 gen 2 at the wreckers yards this weekend and they all wear in the same location. Trying to up my percentage of sucess by asking if there are other models that would fit without too many mods. I'm from the Okanagan so the used parts supply is limited

Oh poor you, only 6 90-95 4Runners in your yard? I don't have a decent junk yart within 50 miles of me.... If your seats are still comfy, maybe just get some nice covers? The SR5 seats go for a premium if you don't get lucky, or have the time to wait for the right set...... If you can weld, just about anything will fit!

I had a similar problem, where my driver's seat was really worn but the passenger's wasn't. I actually disassembled the two seats and swapped the seat cushions from one side to the other. I rarely have a passenger, so it worked out pretty good.

FWIW, I found my old FJ60 cruiser bucket seats worked very well in my '78 Hilux.

just bring the worn driver seat to you local oppolstry place. thats what i did. i got it back looking brand new. and it was cheaper and easier than finding a new seat tha is in good condition for about 300 dollars
