I'm looking for a set of custom fit seat covers that fit well on factory seats. It seems that some options have disappeared from the market, but other options have become available with 3D scanning technology/computer mapped and cut templates. Post up with your experiences on what covers you went with and how pleased you are with the fit and durability. Anything goes for this pre 96 pickups and 4runners. Benches, buckets, second row etc.

I had a local upholstery shop redo the stock seat in my '88. He added lumbar support and replaced the foam on the bottom. The seat came out amazing and is actually comfortable to sit in for hours. I would take a look around your area to see who is doing interiors and what they can do on yours. I paid around $500 for the complete job as a point of reference.

I think that there is a steep learning curve on putting the covers on and having them look like the ones that my upholstery guy did. I think that you might be surprised what can be done, and it will come out exactly like you want it to. Here are some examples from the same trim shop guy on my other cars.
