Just wondering what you all think of your seatbelt retractors? Mine are weak/slow, meaning that when somebody unhooks their belt and gets out, the belt does not retract quickly enough to avoid being shut in the door.

Are there any fixes for this?

very interesting. I had my drivers side belt mech. replaced because it wasnt retracting. They did it for free...but its not working again. Maybe ill try the velcro, thanks.

This problem is so bad that Lexus actually put out a TSB. And the thread spressoman linked is in the FAQ.

Velcro works great. I have to do it about once a year.

Interesting - I will have to give it a shot this weekend. I have this problem on all of the outboard seatbelts, not just the driver's.
