Hey anybody out there that has done the scout conversion- Did you notice that the steering radius has been reduced? Did I just get the wrong steering box or is it just the way it is? I used to be able to do a u turn on my street and now I have to do kind of a three point turn around.

Haven't done one myself but I rode in a pig with a scout box and it had an extremely tight turning radius. If I remember correctly it had a really long pitman arm on it. I was shocked at how well it turned.

Yea I am still getting used to how easily it turns! I love it. My pitman arm is short I guess. Its about 8 inches if my memory serves me. I was wondering if there are different gears for tighter turning while using the same box. It would be great to get both the tight turning radius as well as the power in the turn.

are you certain the pitman is centered and not biased to one side? Have you tried a right handed U turn and gotten similar results?

Turn in your steering stops too...see if that helps.
