7200 is still a deal.

Leather is very clean and they were running floor mats which helps with the carpet.

I thought so but I really have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to the 100 series.

5200 posts and been on here since mud started and mostly focused on 100 series. It is a good deal. ;<)

Probably could sell it for 10k.

I thought so but its always nice to hear from the guys who know what they are talking about!

I had a 2000 for 10 years. Started at 100k, sold at 250k. By far the best car i have ever owned. No contest. On the hunt for another one.

Having owned and driven 40s, 60, 62s, 80s, 100s, and 200s, my $0.02 is that you're trading utility for comfort moving from the 40/60/62/80 to the 100. The real jump is to the 200. I bought my 100 new in 2004 and, after driving my 94 80 series for ten years, it took me six months to decide to sell it. It was a really nice, really comfortable, reasonably attractive truck; everything a Land Cruiser isn't. It had horrid body roll, remember I drove this off the dealer's lot new, and was underpowered. It is a Land Cruiser, and it will perform offroad, but this series is the runt of the litter, IMHO.

100 or 80 series?

100 with DT headers and exhaust are pretty fun. Unless an 80 had a supercharger they were turtle slow. Can't beat the solid front axle off road.

I had 4 80s and 4 100s and the 100s are a whole new world. I am sure the 200 is that again.

I have not wheeled with any 200s but a 100 off road can do 95% of everything an 80 can do and on road there is no comparison but that is mostly due to the solid front axle on the 80. Similar to g wag, drives like a K5 blazer.

And (I need to find the data) the 100 series has the most production class Paris Dakar wins. One of the toughest races on the planet.

x2. Is that Uwharrie?

So I pulled the trigger and will finalize everything Monday. I will change all the fluids and do the timing belt in the next few weeks. Anything else you guys would do right away?

I will slowly mod the 100 but right now my 40 is taking all my money lol!

Thanks so much to everyone who jumped in and helped out!

200 is just as capable offroad as the 100, except in comfort and lots more refinement plus most importantly lots of power! I love my 200 every second I am in it especially the ML reference sound system.

Working for Toyota and have driven everything they make. I can say with out a doubt the 200 is the nicest thing they make by far and one of the best cars I've ever driven hands down. There's just no way I can afford one and keep up with all my hobbies at this stage in my life. We sell used ones with 70,000 miles for 45k all day long!!!

Update, the truck had a stored code for thottle body failure. The part at my cost is 1000 dollars! The guy I bought it from says he will help me out on the price if it needs to be replaced. I just don't want to replace it if I don't need to. It has never gone in to limp mode or have loss of power. It just has all the lights on but they come and go.

I've done some research and have seen where the TB is a problem on 98 to 99 models but mine is a 00. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Josh
