About 80km north of Jeddah, there is some really nice sand dunes. Deflated the tyres and used 4H. Had absolutely no problems.

Good day all.

I need some help. Since starting to drive the LC, I noticed some erratic movemement of the oil pressure gauge reading. Indicates max and then drops to half etc. It does seem to correlate with engine rpm. I have ignored it up to know since it was always moving between half and max.

This morning driving to work, I got a fright since there was moments of zero oil pressure.

Engine: 1fz-fe
Mileage: 185 000km.
Oil level: half

I also noticed that idle is very low (200 rpm), although it does not sound so low (sounds normal).

Am I dealing with gauge issues. I guess next step would be to verify oil pressure using mech gauge?

Any thoughts or pointers please.
