I just wanted to thank all who helped me do my axle job. It was a pleasure meeting and working with all of you and look forward to meeting again. To those I don't see tomorrow I will see on the 18th. This was an educational experience for me since this was my first big vehicle maintenance.

Again. Thank you.

It was nice to meet you Bob.

William - once again, thanks for arranging this for the club.

3 cheers for william.

Bob nice to meet you. Great to see everyone. See you all in a few weeks at Washita.

I had a great time as always - and the group multi-axle job seemed to really speed up the process and certainly made it more fun and less stressful (of course, the lifts help a little too :))

And the surprise for Bob (I gave you my cell but I don't have you number to call you) is that the group finished up your truck after you left (there was so little left we just couldn't leave it sit unfinished).

So all you have left to do tomorrow is clean up/ pick up your tools (we got some of that done too) and then help me finish the shop clean up.

Now we just need a group rear-axle party (I've never done that project before, but StlCruiser assures me it is much easier).

Heck, what I'd really like is a group timing adjustment party - I still have no idea how to set the timing!

Thanks again to everyone who showed up!

It was good to see everyone again and nice meeting you guys Bob and Dustin.

Bob - check your tool box. There was a 1/2" drive socket when I was cleaning up Saturday that I thought was yours (I don't recall if it was Allen, but it wasn't craftsman so I knew it wasn't mine and everyone else already had their tools put away).

BTW, for Bob & WFD, how much improvement have you noticed from the axle job, if any?

The truck run great. Have not heard much of any noise out of the front end. Brakes are good. Seems to steer better and you can really tell when turning. Nice and smooth.

Thanks again.
I will check my sockets tonight.

22.4% improvement in the slamon (sp?) course.
1.34% increase in fuel economy,
PHH stopped leaking,
it stopped burning oil.
The muffler bearing seems to have fixed itself,
the spare tire now fits under the truck in the original spot,
my passenger side floor is no longer wet,
my fender drain slots opened,
the sunroof stopped leaking, and started working,
I can run 37's on a stock suspension,
I no longer need 4.88's, the 7 pin mod started working again,
my castor is now +3 Degrees,
I can tow a 35' trailer,
I can tow 15k pounds,
the rear window washer started working,
my exhaust stopped making that whistle noise,
I no longer need dual batteries,
the seats are no longer torn,
the steering wheel cover looks like new

and the creme del la creme,

and my CEL went off. Actually, everything is good, I'm going to check my nutz this weekend.

You makin' it on the 18th?

If I do it would have to be as a passenger. My truck is no where near ready.
