Ok need alittle help here. Looking to get rid of the IFS in my 92 yota and put a sold axle. Been looking for the kit to do this but the cheapest one I found was like $1500 is there anywhere that I can get it cheaper. I already have the axle and what not. Any help would be great. Thanks guys

Do what I did: make your own from scratch. I found all the steel I needed at a scrap metal yard, made the front hanger. I found the tubing I needed for the rear shackle tubes at a friends place. I had some DOM bent for shock hoops, did the rest myself.

Not sure I would do it again, though. Lots of running around.

Ok so if you don't feel that you can do it yourself then the word cheap shouldn't really be in the conversation. I understand that you would like to get a good price, but you are talking about what will be holding your entire front-end together.

That said if your are on a budget then I would suggest you look at what you really need. Trail gear probably has the most affordable kits out there with all the extras included, but if you don't need to rebuild the axle, new rotors, etc., then you might shop just the parts you need. Hanger kits go for around two bills, springs depend on whose you go with, shocks, high steer, etc. My shopping list includes parts from 4 or 5 different sources and is well above what just a kit would cost me, but I have gone thru and picked parts for what I am looking to accomplish.

You could fab your own parts, do a RUF and some chevies, etc. And get out clean and under budget, but if you are going kit you will spend some $. Also most SAS kits are front only, so go ahead and figure one another few hundred for the rear. And regardless you will likley be regearing and buying tires.

Please don't take this wrong, I just want to make sure you have a handle on all the pieces before you jump in.

Keep us posted on how it all goes.

Thanks for the info guys. And yeah the truck is already running a 3 inch body lift a 4 inch suspension lift 37 inch tires 4.88 gears. I will look into both sources that you guys said but as of right now I am just trying to fix what the previous owner had don to the truck. Like he only tac welded the front bumper on rig the stereo in bad mass air flow (still need to get one) sticking throttle and a few other things. I will keep you guys posted and have some pics up soon of the truck.

Sounds like you have a pretty good list and a pretty nice rig. Got any pictures?
