Any idea how long this adventure will be?

To go to peak and back with easy pace and not a lot of stopping would be between 2-3 hours. From four corners to Sierra peak and beyond would be another 3-4 hours on top of that so bring food and drinks. Peak to bluejay is about an hour and change depending on the pace.

You can spend a whole day up there.

This is turning into quite the gathering.

I wish Joey! Having a little one at home basically prevents me doing much on weekends.......and weekdays.

I don't miss that!!

So where are we meeting? Still at 8? I'm leaving at 6am from my house.

Google Maps link would be nice ;)

Best to park on the dirt shoulders right after the gate, there aren't many parking spaces and leave them for the hikers and bikers. Actually there won't be enough parking spaces for all that are going in the regular parking lot but tons of space right after the gate.

From post #61, we are meeting at the Silverado Canyon Market at 8:00

For whoever interested, lets meet up at 8:00 am on Saturday morning at the Silverado Canyon Market parking lot. We can enter in at the Silverado Gate. We can hit the Main Divide at the top and take it down to the 74.

Anyone monitoring HAM frequency?

I'm headed that way shortly with 3 other 80's also
