Saginaw twisted spline? (2 Viewers)

Question: is the Sector shaft, splined shaft diameter larger on those J20 units, versus a saganaw steering box from a 1970 Impala? That part is the only weak link. If they are larger/stronger--- someone will sell a whole lot of pittman arms. Thank's, John Pardi
 
Spline size for the pitman arm is the same.

The fact that the piston diameter is larger in the 51-6529 steering gear gives it more assist...

Three-bolt boxes are a weak link....same size sector shaft/spline combo.

Do you have a picture of the a side shot looking at the drag link and tie rod. are both straight with each other?

Would not really make any difference...sector is twisted.

I have twisted them without bending any tie rod or drag link....
