Hey guys I thought it would be a good idea to get a good list going of makes and models of vehicles with saginaw pumps that have metric fittings. I have heard early volvos all the way to mid 90s dodge trucks. I will do some searching and add what I find.
Post yours and I will update here on he first post.

Make
Model
YEAR
And if it has a remote resivior or not

Dodge
Durango Edit I heard on here this make year model worked but Last I was at the j yard I check it it was not the same fitting.
1998
?

Dodge
Durango
1995
?

Appears most any 80-90s volvos work but most I see here on mud are can hams, not sure about the volvos with r/rs

Cool idea, can't wait to do this mod. Nothing of value to add, but hope it bumps it to the top!

Thanks,

I pulled a late 80s early 90s pump from a volvo 740 it had remote res and I installed it on sunday. I works great and had the same fitting.

I was really going to a remote res for the space saving it provides. I pulled out my fabed bracket for my 3b and barely had to tweak it to get this one to fit. I wouldnt be surprised if it was almost a drop in replacement for those with stock brackets.

Its so nice having power steering back, one to have a pump that never lets you down is amazing.

Mid 1980's
Volvo 240

Metric fittings, I used the volvo bracket for parts to make a new mounting bracket.

My steering box seals blew out after installing the new pump, but it works great now with a newer box (bought used here).

High temp transmission fluid hoses are working great. (simple hose will melt). Careful about hose routing near the exhaust manifold.

I still wish one of teh aftermarket companies would make a bracket to fit a 2F with all the smog gear intact...
I also had to space out the pulley with some customized machine bushings. Also had to trim back the fan blades a bit to get it all to fit...

Thats a canned res right? or is it remote?

I dont see why a company couldn't make a bracket w/smog specially if using a remote res, I cant believe how much space it saves.

So, you put this Volvo remote res pump on your 3B? I'm in a similar situation and would like some pics on this setup.

In parking lots the steering effort is increased and on the trail it just gives up sometimes.

Is this something that could run hydro-assist? How a hydraulic winch? Anyone know some specs (psi, gpm) on a pump like this?

I had the same experience minus the steering box seals (knock on wood). Pulled mine from a 1984 Volvo 240

Been running this way with the stock pump for some time now , belt never slips and I haven't wore one out yet surprisingly. It's not my preference but until I sorce a double crankshaft pulley or weld one up it works. My plan is to have the alternator on its own belt.

Sorry I don't have any specs on it, it looks smaller but it sure cranks way better then the stock pump even with the low idle of the 3b. Also the pulley on the pump is larger then stock. Was planning on putting a smaller pulley on but so far havbt needed it
