If anyone knows how to add text between and after loading photos I would love to know how...

Since I dont know how I will discribe the next two pics then upload them...

Pic one... evidence of sucess. My bro-in-law and myself went moose hunting - two guys, two moose... great fun!!!

Pic two... This is just a pic to make everyone else jealous. It is fun running rivers that no one else can get into. This irver is 5 miles of shallow water and monsterous sandbars, followed by shallow chute, falls and rapids. in full disclosure the river flooded in the last few days of the season and on the last day one other boat made it up where we were hunting. Mostly i think this pic is awsome so I am sharing it. :D

Looks like you made the most of hunting season. Uncle Sam has kept me way to busy to get out and break in my new Tikka 300 WinMag. What little time I have has been making up lost time with the family and working on the cruiser. Love the metal work, been toying with my new "classic" welder and managed to build some tabs and modify an old ATV plow push tube to work with the wife's sideXside. Hope to meet you soon and check out your handy work in person.

Here you go; your post with the captions underneath each picture. I'll send you a PM of the text for this post; maybe that will help.

self hijack!!!

uhg... I just accidently erased (accidental refresh) a long post I was making!!! VER VER frustrating.

Anyhow. On this post I will further hijack my own thread by telling about my build plans for my fj55. If the erased post I gave a bunch of discriptions of some of my rigs. I will not be retyping all that CrAp, cuz I am getting tired!

I want to try and post a picture and put some tect where I want it. This little post and pic is just a thank you for hte help I have recieved regarding the text and attchment issues I have had.

I have a 71 fj55 I plan to convert into a bada$$ hunting/offroad rig. I like idea of combining old and new landcruisers when making upgrades, I am not a big fan of non-landcruiser upgrades when I can use land cruiser parts to make hte same upgrades. My fj40 build is basically transplanting the engine, trans, t-case, steering, wiring and instruments of a late model fj60 into my old 40. My fj55 build is much the same concept.. only better.

I want a 5" lift and remain spring under, I intend to have custom super flexy springs from Alcan Springs fabricated to meet those needs. I intend to use 36" boggers or LTBs. ARM lockers front and rear... same old stuff... but here is where it gets exciting.

6 cylinder diesel engine, 5 speed and free floating rear axel. Also power steering...

I will be transplanting a 1hz, drive train and steering from a mid 90s HJZ75 pickup.

K I can now use text the way I want it IF I upload the pic first to my album... almost there...

Let me know when I can come and lend a pair of hands. Least I can do for your generosity.

Excellent work! You are a true craftsman!!
I really like all your rigs, nice collection.

yup Chris.. you owe me BIG!! jk. I do want to know if the Tcase and carb are going to fit your needs.

78fj40MG - Wow, thanks for that, that is quite the compliment!! I do enjoy fabricating and mechanicing, it is a fun healthy hobby. I like all my rigs too. but I must admit I have a few not listed yet. Many might disagree (my wife most likely included, eventually - but not yet) but my opinion is that a person cant have too many vehicles or guns. a person might not have enough space to store them... but not too many toys - it is akin to having too much fun.

as soon as I get my boiler fixed and put back together I will get back to my fj40 build. It is my priority, since Fairbanks hit -30F yesterday. mucho Burr factor!! I will try to keep this post updated and try to refrian from future self-hijacks.

Bill, you still around? Have some stuff to bring you.

Thanks again for the ideas/ inspiration on the rear sill support. I modeled mine after yours and am happy with the end product. You can check it out on my frame off thread. Cant wait to see more progress on your build
