Hi guys, my hood/bonnet latches (like those in the picture) are all very rusty... 1 year ago I dipped them for day in white vinegar and painted them with some rostoleum paint that promised to protect from rust, but they got rusty again after 12 seconds..... What can I do? a new set costs 100usd + shipping, so before I wanted to try something DIY since the parts work perfectly. Here in UAE powder coating is very cheap in case it's a good solution (I spent a total of 110$ to powder coat 5 rims!) Of course I'll buy stainless steel bolts and screws, but if you know some home made remedy for removing the rust and preventing new one, please let me know! Thank you very much
