Rusted AHC Accumulator won't come off with 36mm Fan Wrench...Solution!

Glad to know I’m not the only one who has had a real problem with these before. I’ll try drilling a hole in the opposite side and see if I can get more leverage from there first.

This is the rear driver, so it’s in a bit of a tough spot to try and crank.
 
I’m planning to do a fluid flush and while inspecting the area it appears that the accumulator assemblies (where the globs screw into) are pretty rusted, but nothing else is. Is this normal? Randomly the two lower bolts on the accumulator are rusted as well.

2006 LX470
~185k miles, all in California
Last flush was 10yrs and 35k miles ago

My son's '00 LX470 looks like that. It seems the plating doesn't want to stick on those. Wipe it down with your favorite rust remover, or some old ATF, whenever you get the chance, and as often as you can. It'll be OK. ATF is a great rust remover and steel preserver, BTW.
