The second truck is probably a better platform but the first one had a little more work done to it. The second would be pretty turn key if you are looking for a stocker.Relatively deep pockets. I hope to do some maintenance on this truck myself, but the rust work sounds like real hell, and I don't have the space to do something like that.

We are a helpful bunch for the most part as long as you stay respectful of different opinions and can make an effort to see where the other person is coming from. Thanks a lot for the perspective though. Everyone on this forum is very nice and generous with their knowledge.
I tried buying that one a few days ago. First buyer fell through so I think it’s still available as of Saturday.Relatively deep pockets. I hope to do some maintenance on this truck myself, but the rust work sounds like real hell, and I don't have the space to do something like that.

No personal knowledge of that truck but know it has been listed for a long time in a very hot cruiser market. That says somethingBumping um this thread. What do you guys think of this?
First time buying an 80 series LC. I already own a 200 series. I like the general condition of this rig, but the rust really scares me (I am from Texas). I don’t like the price, so plan to negotiate it - especially because of the rust. Seller says it has been stripped and resealed with epoxy primer. Is this the right way to mitigate the rust?
Thank you all in advance.
Entire ownership history was a combination of CT, MI and NY. I would avoid just based on that. The rust doesn't look particularly bad from the photos but they are definitely playing with the lighting on those undercarriage photos. I'd keep looking.Bumping um this thread.
