Rust issues?

Hi I am in the market to buy a 200 series. I owned several 100’s and had terrible rust on the rear hatch lid. The salt in Iowa is terrible. I have searched but did not see much for factory defects regarding rust other than KDSS. What do I need to know with the 200? Thanks

Spray the undercarriage with Fluid Film (or something similar) every fall. Hit the drain holes in the body including the doors and hatch / tailgate and drive as usual. Spray under the hood and anything else you’ve ever seen rust over time on any other vehicle. Cheap insurance.

I agree. I do all my vehicles in the spring and fall. Cheap insurance.

Other than normal rust belt preventatives, there's nothing else that needs to be done. I'm not aware of any common rust areas on the 200 yet.
